This template takes advantage of the new user mention notification to ping user(s) you are replying to in a discussion.

Note that it isn't necessary to use this template to ping the user if you are already linking to their username from your post, or if you are on their talk page.

Usage

Single recipient

Use the following syntax:

{{reply|Username}} Message text. ~~~~

For example, {{reply}} will produce:

@Majr:

Multiple recipients

You can reply to multple people at once, using the following syntax:

{{reply|User1|User2|User3|User4|User5}} Message text. ~~~~

For example, {{reply}} will produce:

@Example and Jimbo Wales:

Limitations

The notification system will only trigger if the edit belongs to a section and has a signature. See Wp:Notifications for details.
